Santé Magazine
"Vanilla cream, mineral, lemon and toast aromas. Creamy, but with excellent acidic structure and concentrated citrus flavors through to a persistent finish." Recommended.

Wine Enthusiast
"There is a lot of new oak on this smooth wine, with smoky, vanilla and clove elements. Lees aging also adds creamy, milky bells and whistles. Under all that is some nice peach-flavored fruit. It’s dry, with refreshing acidity. Overall, there’s lots of class and elegance here." 90 score.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
"Cast very much in the Carneros model of lively, slightly firmer and faintly mineral-tinged Chardonnays, this neatly balanced effort is ripe and generously fruited with an attractive veneer of creamy oak lending a note of added richness. In the mouth, the wine is both fairly full and yet firmly structured, and glimmers of lemon and stony spice punctuate its trim and lengthy finish." Two stars.

Minneapolis St. Paul Star Tribune
"The 100 percent barrel and full malolactic fermentation of this estate-bottled chardonnay yields a fat mouthful of hazelnut, vanilla and toast flavors, massive body and bits of orange zest, peach and pineapple fruit that are nearly overpowered by oak and glycerin." Highly recommended.

Restaurant Wine
"An elegant, complex Chardonnay, which is full bodied, supple, rich, and long on the palate. It tastes of apple, roasted nut, toasted oak, and honey. Impressive." 4 ½ stars.

Robert M. Parker, Jr.’s The Wine Advocate
"...Restrained aromatics of ripe, honeyed citrus and subtle tropical fruit. The wood character is measured and elusive. Full-bodied, with good acidity, excellent purity and an enticing texture."

California Grapevine
"Attractive, forward, intense, toasty, ripe spiced apple and tropical fruit aroma with overtones of butterscotch and vanilla; full body; big, forward, rich, supple, creamy, buttery, ripe apple and tropical fruit flavors with notes of citrus, vanilla and butterscotch; lingering aftertaste. Rather woody but supported by intense varietal fruit." Very highly recommended.
