Location
1345 Henry Road, Napa. 40 miles (about one hour by car) north of San Francisco in the Carneros region, which straddles the southern Sonoma and Napa Valleys.

Established
1991; first still wines introduced in 1999.

Ownership
The Raventòs family of Barcelona, Spain, owners of Codorníu, Bach, Bodegas Bilbainas, Legaris, Nuviana, Rondel, Raimat, Septima and Scala Dei wineries.

Wines
Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Select Late Harvest Gewurztraminer, and Tempranillo.

Vineyards
145 acres of Chardonnay (UC4, Old Wente, Artesa, Dijon 76, 227, 95 and 96, Mt. Eden, Hyde, Robert Young, 548) and Pinot Noir (Martini 13, Dijon 115, 459 and 667, Pommard, Swan, Beba, Roederer 31 and 32) on the 350-acre estate. Planted on 5C, 5BB, SO4 and 110R rootstock primarily in Haire clay loam soils.

Topography
Rolling hills with dramatic views of the southern end of the Napa Valley, Carneros and San Pablo Bay (northernmost portion of San Francisco Bay).

Climate
Region I. As much as 15 degrees F. cooler than the neighboring wine regions of Napa and Sonoma due to the proximity of San Pablo/San Francisco Bays. Ideal for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Winery
Designed by noted Barcelona architect Domingo Triay and executed by Napa Valley architect Earl R. Bouligny. Environmentally conscious structure is set into a hillside and covered with native grasses. Sweeping staircase leading to the winery entrance is set between twin cascades of water. Expansive terrace offers panoramic vistas of countryside. Ultra-modern 127,000 square foot facility houses winemaking, aging cellars, visitor center and administrative offices on three levels.

Visitors Center
Open daily, 10 to 5, except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Includes art exhibit, winemaking museum and Carneros Center.
