This Cabernet Sauvignon offers an exciting balance of bright Napa and Sonoma Cabernet fruit - 76% of grapes from Napa County, and 24% from Sonoma County - to achieve an elegant complexity. Bright raspberry, cherry and cassis fruit form the center, and around this fruit core are finely integrated clove, cinnamon, anise and cedar cigar-box notes. The broad shouldered Cab tannins are tapered with oak sweetness and vanillin. This wine was aged for 24 months in 50% new and 50% used French oak barrels, and will continue to evolve for five to seven years yet is delicious right now. "This is a wonderful wine that has all the power of Napa Valley Cabernet with the aromatic intensity of our Alexander Valley mountainside fruit.
