1. THE ARTESA SECRET

There are stories that never make it to the label.

2. THE CRAFT BEHIND THE SECRET

In Artesa, winemaking is led by women.

Not as a statement, but
as a natural way of working.

At the heart of Artesa is Paula Borgo, winemaker.

Her approach is defined by intuition, precision, and deep respect for the vineyard. Paula believes that great wines are not made by forcing decisions, but by observing the land, the fruit, and the rhythm of each vintage.

“Each wine is the result of listening to the vineyard and finding the right balance between fruit, time, and place.”

3. THE VINEYARDS

These vineyards reveal themselves slowly.

In Los Carneros, fog, wind and time, shape the rhythm of the vines.

Balance is never rushed.

Paula walks these vineyards during harvest, paying attention to subtle signs — when fruit, acidity, and texture quietly align.

For Artesa Secret, vineyards were chosen on both sides of Los Carneros, Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley, to create harmony:

Sonoma Valley: cooler, wind-swept, and foggy conditions slow ripening, giving wines freshness, tension, and delicate aromatics.

Los Carneros – Napa Valley: slightly warmer, more protected, with silt loam soils that regulate vine vigor, producing fruit with depth, richness, and texture.

Specific clones were selected to express character naturally, not consistency. Harvests are hand-picked at night, and each parcel is treated with gentle fermentation and careful aging — Sonoma in concrete, Napa in French oak — to preserve the unique fingerprint of each vineyard.

4. THE VINTAGE & THE MAKING

Every vintage has its own rhythm.

 -Some vintages unfold gently.

Others, demand patience and precise timing.

For Artesa Secret, the vintage is an active part of the story – it actively shapes the wine.
